In May 2021, my family and I were in an automobile accident. After going back and forth with insurance they decided to declare the vehicle a total loss. After several days of searching what I wanted, I ran across a vehicle on Facebook that this dealer just so happen to have. I reached out and received an instant response.
Being over an hour away, I had several questions. I made request for additional photos and video and receive all requested items and more.
I continue to search to see if anything else caught my eye and it didn't, but was hesitant to visit here due to previous reviews.
I decided to go with my gut and take the drive. Upon arrival, I was greeted and was given a walk through of the vehicle. I had several questions and each was quickly answered. I test drove the vehicle, as did my husband; we both were satisfied. We made note of the air not being as cold as I'd like and we also brought our own scanner to check for any codes.
One code presented itself; we check with their on site mechanic and calculated it was nothing major that needed to be addressed. They serviced the air and the purchase was complete.
Fast forward a few days later... I drove the vehicle for the 3rd time and felt a funny shift. I Googled and of course got extreme anxiety after reading root causes.
I reached out to Josue to let him know what I had experienced, still with the understanding that I had purchased an "As is" vehicle and there was likely nothing he could do.
We determined that a diagnostic test would be best. The next day I visited my local transmission shop where it was determined the shift module likely needed to be updated as the transmission was in perfect condition. This is a common occurrence with newer vehicles that the dealer couldn't of known about.
Together, Josue and I, worked to locate a local dealership that could service the vehicle. Locally, they were booked out for weeks. He called other locations to try and assist.
I finally located a dealership that a reasonable turn around time. After the diagnostic test was performed, we spoke with the dealership together regarding the results.
The transmission had a dealership update that needed to be performed and the tcm needed to be flashed. Originally, I agreed with Josue that we would split the cost of repairs. Not only was this generous considering the as is purchase was complete, but he also gave me more than half saving me from the hassle!
The vehicle has been repaired, just a few hours down time and I love it!
I love the experience I had with this dealer and the professionals that I worked alongside to make the purchase.
Josue was polite, knowledgeable, understanding and certainly a pleasure to work with. He remained in communication with the throughout the malfunction I experienced until it was resolved and ensured I was satisfied with the end result despite the fact I signed an As is agreement and assumed any liability for issues that presented itself after signing.
I recommend anyone to give these guys a go. They recently had a change of management so don't let the negative reviews steer you away!
